Richard and Conan assist waitress Azusa, who found a cell phone left under a restaurant seat. The device received three calls with distinct tones, including a death threat, prompting Azusa to power it down. Conan notes the phone fails to connect and the serial sticker is torn. Azusa describes the owner as a chubby man with glasses who ordered exactly 3000 yen in food and requested a receipt without providing his name. Inspector Yumi arrives to inform them that the receipt holder died in a suspicious truck accident while hurrying to Poirot. The victim carried numerous receipts from various stores, and the crash involved no speeding or drunk driving.
