He tranquilizes Kogoro and uses his voice changing bowtie to impersonate him. Conan explains that the beauty mark was a blood stain, identifying Toshio Bessho as the culprit due to a small stain near her collar. Toshio confesses, stating she threatened Kazuki's production company for ¥20 million to expose his father as a murderer. After they paid, Kamoshita investigated and blackmailed her, prompting the murder. The next day, Kazuki gives Tomoka Saegusa postcards, demanding she continue sending them monthly or he will visit. Tomoka breaks down in guilt over abandoning her son years ago.
