Kogoro and Ran bring the Detective Boys to a Kinosaki onsen in Hyougo for Conan’s sprained ankle. Ran meets Haruna, who is alone, and follows her through town, unaware of a stalking man. Kogoro meets Kouichi Yumoto while Conan notices Ran missing. Mitsuhiko’s photo shows Ran, Haruna, and the stalker. Unable to reach Ran, they fear abduction. Heiji arrives, hired by Haruna’s father, Shuhei Tabuse, to find her. Heiji takes Kogoro and Conan to Shuhei, who explains Haruna vanished with the Rainbow Child sculpture from a museum. This artwork was created by Shuhei’s ex-wife. Meanwhile, the stalker tases Ran and traps Haruna.
