Ep. 66: Richard investigates a murder linked to a college friend and a strange banging noise.

Richard reunites with college friend Jim Fleming, who asks him to investigate a persistent banging noise. While drinking at Jim's apartment, a window shatters, revealing the dead body of Zachery Byers outside. Conan discovers blood on the wall, railing, and glass, along with a slingshot and red thread in a fishtank. He tranquilizes Richard and exposes Torman Lloyd as the killer. Torman used a rope and string over the railing, swinging a sock filled with rocks to bludgeon Zachery to death, using the victim's cigarette glow for visibility. The banging noise was Torman practicing his method. Evidence found in Torman's sock confirms his guilt. Torman confesses, revealing Zachery helped him murder his wife for insurance money and feared exposure.
