Ep. 64: Richard attends a barbecue where Tompson Edwards leaves for a meeting that ends in a murder investigation.

Richard joins Tompson Edwards and his wife Mira for a barbecue, but Tompson departs abruptly after receiving a call from gang member Moreese Cortezini. A clanking sound accompanies his exit, prompting Conan to investigate. Upon meeting Moreese, they discover he is dead. While Tompson claims self-defense during a struggle, Conan suspects foul play. Forensic analysis reveals three fingerprints: those of Tompson, Moreese, and an unknown individual. Conan reveals that Tompson lied to Richard to secure an alibi regarding his weapon. The clanking noise originated from a concealed gun strapped to Tompson’s ankle. The third fingerprint belongs to Mira, who hid the weapon in a VHS case. Tompson confesses to the murder, explaining he killed Moreese to prevent him from exposing that Tompson was embezzling funds intended for his daughter’s medical treatment.
