Tetsuya brings a wideband receiver to school, allowing the Detective Boys to capture a distressing phone call from a kidnapper. Conan analyzes the audio clues, including background noises and the conversation, to narrow the suspect's location to an area near a railroad, a high school, and a construction site. The kidnapper forces the victim's father to commit suicide. The victim then shouts a final clue, revealing she is close to a tire factory. Using this information, Conan successfully apprehends the kidnapper just in time to save the victim.
