Ep. 82: The Kidnapping of a Popular Artist Case Part 2
Aired on November 24, 1997

82
Conan meets kidnapper Morshu Esterbaum, who confesses to killing a robbery accomplice on New Year's Eve near Sonya Temple. Marshu framed the act as self-defense by planting gun residue, a crime that inspired Two-Mix. After the Junior Detective League arrives, Marshu sets the room on fire and escapes. During the chaos, Karmen is shot, but Conan, disguised as Korma, subdues him by kicking a can. Authorities arrest Marshu and his partner. At the concert, the Junior Detective League accidentally start the music early, risking crowd anger. Conan’s attempt to sing fails, so the singer takes the children out to perform instead.
