Ep. 4: Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji rescue Jin Ling from a crumbling tower while facing hallucinatory curses.
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji pursue Fairy’s barks to a damaged tower, where they discover a coffin containing a sword. Lan Wangji uses the flute Inquiry to locate Jin Ling, who is found unconscious within the wall as the structure collapses. After extracting Jin Ling, Fairy flees, prompting Lan Wangji to pursue it alone. Wei Wuxian examines Jin Ling’s leg, observing cursed marks that induce hallucinations. He transfers the curse to himself, experiencing a vision where young Jin Ling is bullied and asks about his deceased parents, Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli. Wei Wuxian recalls his memories of them and promises to find them, which wakes Jin Ling from the nightmare. Wei Wuxian then successfully removes the marks, but Jiang Cheng arrives unexpectedly.
