Flashbacks reveal Makie’s childhood trauma in Anotsu, where her grandfather Saburou punished her for saving Anotsu from a dog, fueling his ruthless philosophy. In the present, Makie engages Manji in a brutal fight through narrow alleys, ultimately severing his right arm and defeating him. Rin intervenes to protect Manji, arguing that open bloodshed is preferable to deception, which highlights their intertwined fates. Makie, shaken by her own violence, departs after encountering O-Hatsu, who returns to the red light district. Makie declines to rejoin her former life, choosing instead to leave the Ittou-ryuu and bid a final farewell to Anotsu, who has now lost another combatant.
