Ep. 17: The Children Gather Medicinal Plants for Luna While Sharla Learns About Inner Strength
Aired on February 19, 2004

Luna’s high fever halts the group’s plan to revisit the ruins. Following Chako’s advice, the children divide to find medicinal supplies: Chako and Sharla seek an arrowroot analogue, Bell and Shingo gather mugwort, Kaoru collects eggs, Howard finds fruit, and Menori stays with Luna. Sharla persists in harsh weather despite a knee injury, driven by a desire to be strong for Luna. Chako shares a story about her first meeting with Luna to reveal that inner resilience comes from remembering the blue sky within. The group returns with their findings to care for Luna. Later, Sharla confesses to Chako how Luna helped her open up, a conversation Luna overhears. By morning, Luna has recovered, and the girls watch the sunrise together.
