Luna experiences a vision of the Eastern Forest while washing hands in a lake, prompting her to seek permission to visit. Howard and Bell agree to accompany her, and the trio constructs a raft and weapons before departing down the river. Meanwhile, Shingo collapses while working in the fields and rests under the Magnificent Tree, staring at a family photo. The group’s journey proceeds smoothly until a waterfall destroys their raft, sweeping Luna and Bell over the edge. Bell rescues Luna and her father’s backpack, while Howard descends via rope. Upon reaching the shore, they discover the forest contains gigantic flora and fauna. A giant boar attacks them, but a mysterious voice intervenes to save the group. They shelter in a cave for the night. Back at the house, a listless Shingo retrieves a communications device from the shuttle, with Menori following him out of concern.
