While the children forage and avoid drones, they discuss their island home and encounter a small pague. Howard and Sharla emerge from hiding to reunite with the group after falling through quicksand into underground water. Sharla dismisses Howard’s silence as fatigue and stops Chako from scanning him. Luna experiences a strange sensation upon touching Sharla. Later, Sharla and Howard exchange sinister looks before tricking Adam into climbing a tree branch over a lake. Howard shakes the branch, causing Adam to fall in, and jumps after him. Luna’s power activates to save Adam. Howard remains unresponsive and knocks Chako away when she tries to scan him. Sharla claims he suffers from post-traumatic stress, but Luna feels another strange sensation during a hug. As evening approaches, the pair shares another ominous glance while the children return to their hidden room.
