Ep. 9: Children Struggle to Build a Treehouse After Shuttle Destruction
Exhaustion and hunger cause friction among the children aboard the shuttle. Luna proposes relocating to a house in the Magnificent Tree near Fairy Lake to avoid a giant lizard. While Kaoru stays behind to manage the fire and craft saws from shuttle panels, Chako, Shingo, and Howard assess the tree's suitability. Howard returns with a branch sample, and the group spends the night drafting house plans. The following day, Howard remains at the shuttle to fish while the others gather materials for the foundation. Despite the significant effort and some accidents, they finish the base. Bored and unsuccessful at fishing, Howard joins them and climbs the tree to inspect the work, causing the entire structure to collapse. Upon returning to the shuttle, they discover it has been destroyed and their fire extinguished.
