During the Second Great Ninja War, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru are dispatched to the Hidden Rain Village, where Hanzo of the Great Salamander bestows upon them the title "Legendary Sannin." While stationed there, Jiraiya encounters Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan, who ask for his assistance. He agrees to train the trio before returning home, only to later learn of their deaths. Years pass, and Jiraiya begins training Minato. Together with Kushina, Minato names their unborn son Naruto, honoring the protagonist of Jiraiya’s first book. This narrative covers the second part of the Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant arc.
