Konohamaru, fearing he will never become a chuunin because Naruto is absent, disguises himself as Naruto to participate but is exposed and consoled by Neji. Participants are separated into three rooms for a test devised by Shikamaru, where scoring above or below a total of 100 results in failure. Genin in each room attempt to decipher the test logic. Sakura and Neji conclude that every team member must contribute to reach the required score. Neji then walks around the room, drawing the attention of the other examinees.
