Kabuto asserts that Naruto's current state stems from his desperation to retrieve Sasuke from Konoha. Sakura weeps and attempts to reach him, but Naruto attacks her. Yamato utilizes Wood Style to erect chakra-suppressing pillars, restraining Naruto to prevent further injury. Kabuto heals Sakura and then departs, reasoning that Konoha ninja are not Orochimaru's enemies since they are also opposing the Akatsuki. Yamato subsequently forces Naruto back to his normal condition. Meanwhile, Sai, who had been hiding near the battlefield, confronts Orochimaru following orders from Danzo.
