An ANBU agent transmits a message to Konoha before dying, revealing Orochimaru’s potential location. Kakashi leads Shino, Kiba, and Hinata on a reconnaissance mission to locate the hideout. Meanwhile, Naruto struggles with restrictions on using the Rasen Shuriken due to its danger and reunites with Jiraiya for training. Simultaneously, Kabuto delivers a mission order to Guren, who forces her experimental subjects into a lethal battle to select survivors as subordinates. After reporting back to Orochimaru, Kabuto’s associate Sasuke Uchiha encounters a boy named Yuukimaru. This segment is part of the Three-Tails' Appearance arc, specifically episode two of twenty-four.
