Ep. 13: Sariphi travels to Maasya with the reluctant Hyena guard Lanteveldt to oversee troop inspections and the new lord's appointment.

Sariphi is tasked with visiting Maasya to inspect troops and witness the appointment of the new lord, but Leonhart cannot attend due to a dying friend. Only the Hyena Lanteveldt volunteers as her guard, nicknaming himself Lante. His rude behavior annoys others, yet Sariphi remains unfazed. During the journey, Lante intentionally leads them into an ambush by giant sand serpents to impress her, then defeats them. Upon arrival, Sariphi encourages the troops with Leonhart’s support, noting that Braun becomes the official lord the next day. Troops harass Lante for his Hyena heritage, referencing past treason, but Sariphi reprimands them. Lante deceives Sariphi with a fabricated story, which she accepts until he reveals the truth. The following morning, they discover that Braun has been attacked.
