Ep. 5: Mireille and Kirika discover a dead friend and uncover the enemy known as Les Soldats

Mireille and Kirika visit a friend’s home to gather information but discover him and his family deceased. Mireille’s investigation leads her into the catacombs of St. Galan's cathedral, where she locates a poem copy. An armed man seizes the document from her, intending to kill Mireille. Kirika emerges from the shadows to intervene, but the attacker is not alone. A firefight erupts, resulting in the deaths of the man and his company. Back at their apartment, Mireille analyzes the man’s final words and the poem to identify their adversary as Les Soldats. She reveals that her parents were killed by an unknown assassin when she was a child, marking the last time she saw the watch Kirika found in her apartment in Japan.
