They then visit Kirika’s apartment, where she explains she woke up with no memories, possessing only a fake ID, a Beretta M1934 pistol, and a pocketwatch that plays the same tune. Recognizing a shared history through the watch, Mireille agrees to help Kirika recover her past, though she warns she will kill Kirika once the mission ends. Returning to Paris, the pair announce their availability as guns-for-hire under the codename Noir.

Mireille’s investigation leads her into the catacombs of St. Galan's cathedral, where she locates a poem copy. An armed man seizes the document from her, intending to kill Mireille. When Nazarov collapses from pain, Kirika summons a doctor to stabilize him. As they investigate his past, they learn the Tashkil murdered Nazarov’s family during an ethnic feud. In retirement, Nazarov attempts atonement by feeding the poor. Despite her resolve wavering upon learning these details, Kirika ultimately fulfills her mission to assassinate him.

May 18, 2001During an assignment to assassinate a Middle Eastern revolutionary leader, Kirika sustains injuries, causing the pair to miss their helicopter rendezvous. While hiding, Mireille contemplates eliminating Kirika but refrains because Kirika is her sole connection to Les Soldats. Later, while Mireille is purchasing supplies, revolutionaries capture Kirika. Despite the perilous situation and the initial failure to coordinate with their extraction team, the two women successfully manage to escape their captors and survive the encounter.

At the temple, Kirika manages to kill Paolo and Dominic despite several injuries. Mireille faces Silvana, who charges at her with her dagger. Kirika arrives just in time to shatter the dagger with a bullet before Silvana can hurt Mireille. Mireille and Silvana grab each other's dropped weapons, but this time, Mireille is faster than her childhood friend.

Jun 8, 2001Mireille and Kirika accept a contract to assassinate a corrupt policeman and Judge D'Estaing. Before they can act, an unknown party kills the policeman. The underworld sends the first half of the payment, assuming Mireille and Kirika completed the job. A young woman named Chloe waits for D'Estaing in his workroom, admitting she killed the policeman and warning that Noir will kill him next. When Mireille and Kirika confront D'Estaing in a library at night, they are surrounded by policemen. Chloe appears, and the three women fight and kill the officers. Chloe then kills D'Estaing and introduces herself as the True Noir. Mireille and Kirika aim their guns at her, but she remains unfazed. As Chloe walks past, Mireille attempts to re-aim, but Chloe holds up a knife, challenging them to a speed test. Mireille and Chloe freeze, allowing Chloe to disappear into the night.

During their time together, Reimann shares his history, revealing a bitter rivalry with an East German counterpart that escalated to the point where both men destroyed each other's families. She subsequently returns to the Manor, where she resides with Altena, and reports her experiences, including a significant encounter with Kirika, to her superior.
EP 13Mireille learns of Christian Galle's return while Kirika bonds with Milosh before a fatal ambush
Jun 29, 2001Mireille visits her hairdresser Paulette, who reveals that old enemy Christian Galle has returned to Paris for revenge. Galle and his associates later attack Mireille and Kirika in a park at night. Meanwhile, Kirika spends afternoons painting landscapes by the Seine with Milosh Havel, a former Czechoslovakian soldier. When Milosh announces he will reenlist, Kirika chases him to give a farewell present. Galle spots Kirika and opens fire. Kirika dodges the bullets, but Milosh is mortally wounded. He dies surprised to see a gun in Kirika's hands. That evening, Kirika and Mireille locate and kill Galle. The episode concludes with Kirika throwing her painting supplies into the Seine.
EP 14Claude Feyder returns to Paris and tasks Mireille with delivering Kirika for assassination.
Jul 6, 2001Mireille’s uncle, Claude Feyder, returns to Paris after years away, reuniting with his niece who is his only living relative. Feyder, who raised Mireille following her parents' murder in Corsica, reveals he works for Les Soldats and has been assigned to kill Kirika. He instructs Mireille to bring Kirika to his mansion to facilitate the execution. Upon arrival, Mireille confronts Feyder and shoots him dead. Simultaneously, Kirika encounters two other Les Soldats agents at the mansion and eliminates them with skill. After these events, Mireille and Kirika leave the mansion together and return to their apartment.

Jul 13, 2001Following Claude Feyder's death, Mireille and Kirika return to their apartment and discover signs of an intruder. They locate a contract bearing the signature of Les Soldats, which orders them to assassinate a Triad boss in Taiwan. Upon arriving in Taiwan, the duo encounters Shaoli, known as the Cold-Blooded Killer. The Triads had previously hired Shaoli to eliminate any threats posed by Noir or Les Soldats. As tensions rise, Chloe arrives in Taiwan to assist Mireille and Kirika in this dangerous mission.

Shaoli claims the agent's death was a gift to Les Soldats, but Chloe declares they have no use for her. Enraged, Shaoli attempts to kill Chloe, but Chloe is too fast for her to catch.

Jul 27, 2001Mireille travels to Corsica, the site of her family's murder, where she reunites with her mother's maid, Mary, who mistakes her for Odette. She also meets Mary's husband, Victor, who fears the Bouquet lineage. Suits escort Mireille to Bertonie, who directs her to George Madelin, her father's former right-hand man. Mireille locates Madelin in a bar and later in a garden, where he reveals her parents were members of Les Soldats. Before he can provide more details, a sniper kills him. Madelin's dying words state her parents died protecting her. Mireille chases the sniper to her family's abandoned home, but Chloe intervenes and eliminates the threat. Chloe informs Mireille that Kirika is the True Noir and advises her not to stop Kirika from discovering her own identity.

The trio is ambushed by low-ranking Les Soldats members but defeats them easily. Chloe reveals to Kirika that she was raised as an assassin. Altena reads from the Langonel Manuscript as a bedtime story before assigning Chloe the task of explaining everything to Mireille and Kirika. Concurrently, high-ranking members of Les Soldats who oppose Altena’s plans orchestrate an attack on Mireille’s apartment in Paris to eliminate them. Mireille and Kirika successfully defeat this initial wave of attackers. Chloe then appears at the scene. Kirika hands her gun to Chloe, who shoots Kirika, thereby triggering the latter’s memories.

Sep 7, 2001After Kirika’s departure, Mireille practices shooting in the sewers until Remy Breffort, a high-ranking Soldat, offers her a faction position with greater influence than her Corsican parents held. Returning to her damaged apartment, Mireille discovers a letter from Kirika expressing gratitude for their friendship, which overwhelms her with emotion. She subsequently meets Breffort again to firmly reject his recruitment attempt. Mireille declares her intention to travel to the Manor to rescue Kirika, explicitly refusing to involve herself in Les Soldats' political affairs. Meanwhile, Kirika arrives at the Manor, where Altena welcomes her back home.

Sep 14, 2001Altena clarifies Kirika’s purpose as an assassin, while Chloe describes the lifestyle at the Manor. The next day, Borne and Marennes, two of Altena’s key followers, arrive for the Noir revival ritual. Kirika and Chloe engage in sword training, where Kirika breaks Chloe’s sword despite Chloe’s extensive experience with such weaponry. After bathing, Chloe reveals the olive fork she took after their tea party. Altena then gives Kirika her gun, reminding Kirika of when Altena first provided it before the mission to kill the Bouquets. Kirika points the gun at Altena, but Altena convinces her that Noir can have a positive impact on society.
