Kubinashi, Kejoro, Jami, and Aotabo defeat Ibaraki Doji and Kyokotsu. Hagoromo Gitsune pins Rikuo during their ongoing battle and prepares to kill him, but memories of her host interrupt her focus. Rikuo joins with Yura to force Hagoromo Gitsune out of the host body. Meanwhile, Nue emerges from his cocoon. Hagoromo Gitsune realizes that Seimei and Minagoroshi Jizo manipulated events surrounding her. Despite her efforts to ensure his reincarnation, Seimei betrays her and sends her to Hell. After recovering from his blindness, Tsuchigumo challenges Nue.
