The fifth seal at Seieji Temple is broken, leaving only four barriers against Hagoromo Gitsune. Yura and Mamiru train under Ryuji, while Akifusa, Masatsugu, and Pato, guardians of the first, second, and third seals at Nijo Castle, Sokokuji Temple, and Rokukinji Temple, plan to assassinate Hagoromo Gitsune at the fourth seal location, Nishihoganji Temple. Meanwhile, in Tono, Rikuo learns that skilled onmyōji are being systematically hunted. He decides to return home to assemble his night parade of demons before traveling to Kyoto. His friends among the Tono yōkai choose to accompany him on this journey.
