Ash and friends visit Aether Paradise, a conservation area managed by Lusamine, Lillie's mother. Professor Burnet asks them to help vaccinate a group of Ditto while Lusamine is occupied on the phone. One Ditto escapes and transforms repeatedly, leading the group on a chase. They finally capture it when it disguises itself as Snowy, causing Lillie to realize she cannot touch it. Simultaneously, Team Rocket secures employment at the facility. They pursue Nebby but accidentally discover Faba's secret laboratory during their investigation.
