Ash, Serena, and Bonnie struggle to keep pace with Clemont as he hurries toward a festival honoring the Legendary Pokemon Zapdos, who appears amidst a violent lightning storm. The group takes shelter in a cave, where they encounter an injured paramedic requesting medicine delivery. Ash discovers Team Rocket hiding elsewhere in the cave, revealing the cause of Zapdos’s anger. To facilitate their escape, Ash sends out Talonflame and Hawlucha to distract the enraged bird. When Zapdos knocks Hawlucha down, Noibat evolves into Noivern to save its companion. With the medicine successfully delivered, the festival proceeds as planned.
