Rue awakens with no memory of the previous night and discovers Myuuto's heart shard in her drawer. The shard challenges her to define her true self, leaving her unable to respond. Meanwhile, Duck debates revealing her identity as Princess Tutu to Myuuto. Myuuto disobeys Fakir, prompting him to retrieve the prince's sword to shatter her heart again. Kraehe, unknowingly Rue, attempts to abduct Myuuto from Princess Tutu. Fakir intervenes to break the heart, but Princess Tutu stops him and returns the shard of curiosity. Despite this victory, she despairs over the likelihood that Myuuto will discover she is merely a duck in reality.
