Quon enters a catatonic state and is hospitalized, but she suddenly disappears, prompting a search. After Itsuki and Sayoko leave the laboratory, Quon awakens and escapes with Reika, who is linked to her through memories. Meanwhile, Ayato walks with Futagami, who shows him a picture of Maya as the leader of the Mulians. A Dolem is located, and Ayato is dispatched to find it. As the Dolem engulfs the RahXephon, Quon reaches for a black egg similar to the one Ayato found inside Tokyo Jupiter, though she has not fully awakened. Ayato manages to pass through the Dolem and slices it in half.
