The Mulian forces issue an ultimatum to hand over the RahXephon or face annihilation, but TERRA refuses. Kunugi returns as commander and Haruka regains her position. Masayoshi Kuki threatens the TERRA Organization to surrender the RahXephon within one day or face the approaching Dolem named Largo. Nirai-Kanai is evacuated onto the base, leaving Kunugi alone to operate the defense systems. It is revealed that Kuki was Kunugi's superior officer during the Mulian war. Ixtli pleads for Ayato to enter the tuning into her, warning that all humanity will be lost and forgotten otherwise. As Kunugi appears overpowered by Largo, he activates the Jupiter system device as a secret weapon to backfire at Kuki, destroying the entire island.
