Ep. 88: Kenshin defeats Melder in a burning garden while Lentz secures elixir samples.

Kenshin battles Melder, who holds an advantage due to his horse and armor. Melder ignites oil on the ground, causing the garden to burn rapidly. Lentz tries to obtain a sample of the divine elixir but is stopped by Yahiko and Yutaro. Kenshin uses Amakakeru Ryū no Hirameki to defeat Melder, sustaining severe injuries in the process. Melder disappears in the flames, while Lentz and Schneider survive the destruction. Yutaro retrieves a sample of the divine elixir. Misanagi remains leader of the Sanada Ninjas despite temporarily allying with the Black Knights. Professor Hans recovers using the elixir. He receives a report that Lentz and Schneider surrendered and will be investigated for further information.
