Ep. 89: Misao leaves with Aoshi while the group encounters a pickpocket incident

After training with Yahiko, Misao prepares to depart but changes her mind when Aoshi Shinomori arrives to escort her to Kyoto. Kaoru, Misao, and Megumi Takani go shopping and encounter Tae and Tsubame Sanjou at a restaurant. A pickpocket steals money from Tae and Tsubame, but Misao easily defeats him and returns the funds. Meanwhile, Kenshin and Aoshi spend time together at the dojo. The pickpocket returns with his gang, but the girls overpower them. Sanosuke and Yahiko, who had been following the group, are mistaken for the criminals responsible for the beatings. Kenshin and Aoshi meet the girls near the riverbank, where Sanosuke and Yahiko finally catch up to the others.
