Ep. 9: The samurai rescue Kikuchiyo while facing a Nobuseri ambush and a traitorous spy.

After Kikuchiyo is captured by the Nobuseri clan, Kambei formulates a plan to save him. The remaining samurai encounter an ambush set by the bandits, aided by a spy within their ranks. Despite the trap, the group’s combat abilities allow them to defeat the attackers. During the battle, Kyuzo kills his former partner Hyogo, who attempts to attack both Kyuzo and Kambei simultaneously. Following this victory, Kyuzo joins the samurai, declaring that he alone will have the honor of fighting Kambei to the death. This sequence highlights the group's resilience against superior numbers and internal betrayal, culminating in a personal challenge between two skilled warriors.
