Faldio tries to socialize with Alicia with mixed results. Although Squad 7 captured the Vasel Bridge, General Damon of the Gallian Regular Army remains disdainful of the Militia forces and excludes Squad 7 from the Kloden base assault, causing resentment. Alicia is troubled by Welkin's quiet acceptance of this omission, but Faldio encourages her to have more faith in him. General Damon is subsequently defeated by General Gregor of the Imperial Army. Squad 7 is then chosen to attack Kloden with support from Faldio's Squad 1. Due to Faldio's provocation, a mortified Alicia accidentally slaps Welkin.
