Ep. 8: Natsuno, Kaori, and Akira investigate an empty coffin and encounter a vampire in the night.

Natsuno, Kaori, and Akira unearth Megumi’s coffin to find it empty, confirming their suspicions. Kaori is captured but repels her attacker using a charm given to Megumi. Natsuno arrives and kills the man in self-defense, noting he lacks body heat, which identifies him as a vampire. They partially bury him in Megumi’s grave to alert adults. The next morning, the trio returns to the forest and finds the vampire revived, having covered the grave. Natsuno plans to kill old lady Motohashi if she rises from her grave after dying of the illness. Meanwhile, Seishin suspects Sunako is a risen individual due to her speech and genetic illness. Outside, a young girl named Shizuka Matsuo, wearing a kindergarten uniform and using a puppet to speak, visits Natsuno’s house. She claims to know Natsuno and asks to stay in his room, despite his father’s suspicion.
