Seishin and Toshio keep watch over Setsuko in the clinic at night to prevent vampire attacks. Toshio theorizes about their methods, including the use of narcotics, while Setsuko’s condition remains stable. The next night, Ritsuko delivers food but encounters the revived Nao. Toshio reveals his desire to dissect a vampire, shocking Seishin. Setsuko wakes and calls out to Nao, who appears outside. Despite Toshio’s warning, the vampires return during a power outage. Tatsumi knocks down Toshio and invites Setsuko out, exploiting the rule that vampires cannot enter without permission. Seishin sees the group but cannot attack. Nao and the others drain Setsuko’s blood in a frenzy. Toshio grieves and blames himself. As the vampires depart, they note Megumi’s absence, with Tatsumi claiming to know her location.
