Ep. 20: Seimei investigates palace threats while Masahiro prepares to rescue the princess from Kazane
Seimei wakes from a dream involving Ryuusai and Wakana as Masahiro cares for Akiko, who urges him to visit Shoko. The following day, Mokkun notes the resemblance between sisters Shoko and Akiko while Yukinari orders his soldiers to stand guard. Seimei patrols the emperor's palace, sensing he is being watched, and encounters Kazane, who reacts angrily when Seimei refers to Ryuusai as a friend. Miasma emerges from the underworld, prompting Kazane to abduct the emperor's princess, Nagako, though Genbu halts the substance. Seimei later shares his history with Masahiro, explaining how Ryuusai cast a Soul Binding Spell on Guren. Masahiro then launches a rescue mission for Nagako with Shinsho assistance, while Kazane reveals she is Ryuusai's daughter and Guren is being manipulated to kill him.
