Tsugumi Harudori joins DWMA and finds her resolve against delinquents
Apr 9, 2014Tsugumi Harudori, a newly discovered weapon, enrolls at the Death Weapon Meister Academy in Death City to master her abilities. While climbing the academy steps, she receives encouragement from student Maka Albarn. At the freshman reception for the NOT class, Tsugumi befriends the absent-minded meister Meme Tatane. During a demonstration by Maka and her partner Soul Eater, Tsugumi observes the importance of partnership. When delinquents harass Meme, Tsugumi initially hesitates but gains confidence through the support of her teacher, Sid. She transforms into a halberd to assist Anya Hepburn in defeating the attackers. Following the confrontation, both Meme and Anya express their interest in becoming Tsugumi's partner.

Apr 16, 2014Tsugumi, Meme, and Anya arrive at the girls' dorm under the supervision of Eternal Feather, who warns them about the resident witch. That night, Tsugumi is captured by housemaster Misery, who tries to remodel her into a character named Mary, but Meme interrupts the attempt before another DWMA student intervenes. The rescuer is revealed to be Kim Diehl, who charges Tsugumi's allowance for her help. Meanwhile, Anya has spent all her funds and a family brooch on market trinkets, while Meme has lost her allowance. With no money left for the week, the trio joins Akane and Clay from the NOT class for part-time work at Deathbucks Caffe. After their shift, Tsugumi uses her earnings to purchase a replacement brooch for Anya.

The Dormitory Witch Reveals Her Past While New Threats Emerge
Apr 23, 2014Eternal Feather shares the origin of Kim’s reputation and awkward stage name with Tsugumi and others. Meanwhile, former advanced EAT class members Akane and Clay are assigned by Sid to confront a group called the Traitors. The following day, Anya feels isolated and is attacked by a Traitor on her way home. Tsugumi and Meme arrive to assist, allowing Akane and Clay to force the attacker to retreat. Later, EAT student Ox Ford gives Tsugumi his allowance to replace money Kim stole, asking her not to blame Kim. Kim provides Anya with a bandaid that appears to magically heal a poisonous scratch from the Traitor. However, another EAT student, Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupré, suspects there is more to the healing than meets the eye.

Tsugumi briefly encounters Maka during this period. The following day, during class fitness exams, Tsugumi’s sense of inferiority intensifies compared to Meme and Anya. Akane encourages her to focus on her own feelings rather than comparing herself to others, offering support amidst her growing self-doubt.

May 7, 2014While Jacqueline and others assist with pool cleaning, Sid learns a captured Traitor may be enchanted. Tsugumi and the group attempt to help Jacqueline befriend Kim, hoping she becomes Kim's partner, but these efforts fail. Jacqueline later discovers Kim using magic to heal a puppy, confirming she is a witch. Kim is devastated, explaining she joined DWMA to escape the witch world. Jacqueline agrees to keep this secret in exchange for ice cream treats for the group. Kim accepts the deal and agrees to make Jacqueline her partner.

May 14, 2014Tsugumi and her friends initially dislike Liz and Patty, the Thompson sisters working at Deathbucks while on probation. Although Anya attempts to confront them, she is outmatched by their weapon transformation abilities. Tsugumi continues visiting the café daily, hoping to challenge the sisters and order pilaf. When Patty serves a customer rudely, Liz attacks him, but Tsugumi intervenes and takes the punch. Later, after encountering meister Death the Kid, Tsugumi expresses admiration for the sisters' strength and beauty. Her friends return to the café, prompting the Master to tell Liz and Patty that Death City accepts them. Meanwhile, Sid, Akane, and Clay investigate a Traitor suspect, only to find a guard has murdered him and left a blood message reading "While you are sleeping, we keep moving."

May 21, 2014Akane and Clay inform Sid that they suspect a witch named Shaula Gorgon is responsible for the Traitor incidents. Meanwhile, Tsugumi and her friends hold a study session at Deathbucks, assisting with the sudden rush of customers. The following day, the girls visit the Death Bazaar flea market, where Maka and Soul operate a joint stand. During a break, Eternal Feather buys a scorpion-shaped ring from a mysterious woman who reveals herself to be Shaula. Shaula uses the ring to control Eternal Feather, turning her into a Traitor. Eternal Feather transforms her arm into an oversized butterfly knife and attacks bystanders. Maka and Soul intervene to stop her. Believing Eternal Feather cannot defeat the EAT pair, Shaula orders her to commit suicide, forcing Eternal Feather to raise her blade against her own neck.

Tsugumi joins Liz and Patty, reuniting with Anya to save Meme. Their strong bond enables a Soul Resonance, granting Tsugumi’s halberd form wings. Akane guides them to Stein, who provides an antidote derived from Meme’s blood. Following a messenger bat, the pair reaches a bell tower where Shaula and Meme are waiting.

Tsugumi Resonates with Meme to Defeat Shaula and Restore Order
Jul 2, 2014Shaula empowers Traitors in Death City and commands Meme to eliminate Tsugumi and Anya. Anya attempts to restrain Meme, allowing Tsugumi to overcome her fears and administer an antidote through a kiss. Although the cure seems ineffective initially, Tsugumi triggers Meme’s memories of their shared past, enabling a Soul Resonance that breaks Shaula’s mind control. Tsugumi then formally accepts both Anya and Meme as partners. Using Meme’s residual connection to locate Shaula, the trio executes a three-way Soul Resonance, transforming Tsugumi into a winged halberd. This combined power defeats Shaula and restores the infected students. Later, after Anya handles royal duties and Meme receives medical care, both return to the DWMA to find Tsugumi studying diligently.
