Ep. 8: The crew faces a deformed kaiju born from human emotions while Yomogi confronts his past.
Sizumu encounters an incomplete kaiju but ignores it. Koyomi remembers fleeing from Inamoto in high school when she asked him to run away with her. Yomogi and Yume search for Futaba unsuccessfully. Gauma summons the group to capture the kaiju, but his domination attempt fails due to weakened power. Other crew members also fail, though Yomogi reacts adversely. Knight and the Second explain that kaiju originate from human emotions and advise destroying the threat. The crew spares it, but it escapes and grows dangerous. Yomogi and Knight deploy, with the Dyna Soldier transforming into the Dynamic Cannon wielded by Gridknight. Questioning if kaiju have hearts, Yomogi partially dominates the creature but ultimately destroys it to protect the city and Yume. Yume thanks him and invites him to eat.
