EP 1Yomogi meets Gauma the Kaiju User and faces a mysterious date with Yume Minami
Apr 2, 2021High school student Yomogi Asanaka helps a hungry stranger named Gauma, who reveals he is a Kaiju User. Yomogi accepts a date invitation from Yume Minami, despite her reputation for ditching partners. As strange floating phenomena occur in the city, Yume fails to show up for the meeting. Gauma confronts Yume about her broken promise, leading to her admission of personal issues. A Kaiju suddenly appears in the city center. Gauma summons the robot Dynazenon, which requires four pilots. The robot absorbs Gauma, Yomogi, Yume, and a nearby NEET named Koyomi Yamanaka, while Chise Asukagawa watches. Gauma pilots Dynazenon alone to fight the Kaiju. When the enemy gains the advantage, Gauma transforms Dynazenon into its Dyna Rex form to easily defeat the monster.

Apr 9, 2021After Dynazenon shrinks to toy size, Gauma divides its components among himself, Yomogi, Yume, and Koyomi. Chise discovers a mysterious pebble while Gauma explains that the defeated Kaiju was controlled by Kaiju Eugenicists, urging the team to train for future attacks. Yomogi prioritizes his part-time job over preparation, prompting Yume to combine her Dyna Wing with his Dyna Soldier to create the Dyna Soldier Wing Combine. She shows him the devastation caused by the previous battle and reveals her sister died in an accident. The next day, four strangers control a new Kaiju, forcing the team to split up. Untrained, Yomogi struggles until Yume links with him again. Seeing civilians in danger, Yomogi gains resolve, launching the Kaiju for Gauma to destroy with missiles. The four strangers then confront Gauma, who confirms they are the Kaiju Eugenicists.

Apr 16, 2021The Kaiju Eugenicists ask Gauma to rejoin them, but he refuses. Yomogi meets Yume, who discusses her late sister Kano and obtains contact info for classmate Kanae. Koyomi encounters his boss Inamoto, causing Chise jealousy. Juuga informs Yomogi that Gauma betrayed the Kaiju Eugenicists 5,000 years ago. The group confronts Gauma, who avoids answering why he turned against them. A kaiju attacks Chiba, creating explosions that prevent the Dynazenon crew from approaching. Gauma requests they combine, but they refuse until he earns their trust. He admits he seeks the woman who entrusted Dynazenon to him. The crew combines, takes the kaiju to space, and destroys it. Debris lands on a Kaiju Eugenicist, seemingly killing him, though he survives, surprised to be alive.
EP 4Yomogi’s Heart Flutters as Kaiju Eugenicists Reveal Their True Nature
Apr 23, 2021Yomogi struggles to focus, leading Inamoto to suspect a crush on Yume. Yume seeks information from Kanae and Urita regarding Kano’s performances. Sizumu, a Kaiju Eugenicist, transfers to their class, explaining that kaiju emerge from human desires for freedom rather than being created. Yomogi falls ill with a cold, forcing Gauma, Yume, and Koyomi to depart without him. Yume pilots Dyna Soldier with Chise’s assistance but requires Yomogi to combine into Dynazenon to defeat a kaiju that turns objects into two-dimensional forms. After the battle, Yomogi asks to join Yume on her next visit to Urita. The following day, Yume misses class because she has contracted Yomogi’s illness.

Apr 30, 2021Yomogi and Koyomi discover Dyna Soldier Striker Combine is too top heavy during training. Yomogi and Yume meet Urita, who shows a video of Kano but lacks further details. Koyomi questions Inamoto’s sudden attention despite her marriage. Chise secures tickets to Tokyo Beach Land, where Yume invites Sizumu. Gauma plans to capture him, but the group enjoys the park instead. Sizumu reveals kaiju respond to emotions before being summoned to control a new threat. The crew fights the kaiju, using Dyna Soldier Striker Combine’s firepower to stun it. This allows them to combine into Dynazenon for victory. Afterwards, Yomogi and Yume meet a former Chorus Club vice president, who shares rumors that Kano may have committed suicide rather than dying in an accident.

May 7, 2021Yume learns of bullying rumors concerning Kano and questions whether suicide was involved, though video evidence remains inconclusive. This discovery causes Yume to distance herself from Yomogi, leaving him troubled. Concurrently, Kaiju Eugenicists hold a meeting where Juuga and Onija advocate for killing Gauma, while Sizumu argues that keeping him alive aids kaiju evolution, leaving Mujina undecided. Koyomi drinks with Inamoto and meets her husband, sparking resentment. Later, a drunk Koyomi is approached by Mujina, who steals the Dyna Striker. The Eugenicists disagree on the stolen mecha's fate, with Juuga wanting to use it as leverage, Onija wanting to destroy it, and Sizumu preferring to return it unconditionally. Gauma, Koyomi, and Chise pursue the thieves and recover the Dyna Striker. The Eugenicists then locate a kaiju dominated by Onija and Mujina. Dynazenon confronts this enemy, but Yomogi, Koyomi, and Yume are too emotionally shaken to fight effectively. Just as Dynazenon faces defeat, Gridknight arrives to protect them.

May 14, 2021Gridknight defeats a kaiju but retreats after mistaking Dynazenon for a threat and running out of energy. Koyomi rescues Inamoto’s husband despite his jealousy, while Gauma, Yomogi, and Yume wait for the monster to return. Knight and The Second of the Gridknight Alliance offer aid, but Gauma refuses due to mistrust. Yume shares with Yomogi that she and Kano were once close, revealing she saw him smile before her death, which motivates Yomogi to support her quest for truth. The next morning, the kaiju returns. Gridknight teams up with Dynazenon, and The Second repairs the robot using a Fixer Beam. Together, they destroy the kaiju. The Alliance departs, allowing Koyomi to resolve his issues with Inamoto. Yume then asks Yomogi to help track down Futaba Senda, a Chorus Club member linked to Kano.

Other crew members also fail, though Yomogi reacts adversely. Knight and the Second explain that kaiju originate from human emotions and advise destroying the threat. The crew spares it, but it escapes and grows dangerous. Yomogi and Knight deploy, with the Dyna Soldier transforming into the Dynamic Cannon wielded by Gridknight. Questioning if kaiju have hearts, Yomogi partially dominates the creature but ultimately destroys it to protect the city and Yume. Yume thanks him and invites him to eat.

May 28, 2021Chise discovers a small golden dragon-like Kaiju named Goldburn in her room. Meanwhile, Futaba Senda meets with Yume and Yomogi. Yume blames Futaba for abandoning her sister and despairs as Juuga controls another Kaiju. Yomogi tries to leave Yume behind, but Gauma orders him to return. Chise tries to recruit Yume, but Goldburn appears, and Yomogi pushes him away, mistaking him for an enemy. Yume falls from a tower while retrieving a puzzle piece, but Goldburn saves her. Yomogi, Yume, and Goldburn rescue Gauma, Koyomi, and Knight. The six combine into Kaiser Gridknight to defeat the enemy Kaiju. Juuga notes the Kaiju Eugenicists will soon run out of Kaiju. The Dynazenon crew accepts Goldburn and invites the Gridknight Alliance to a festival, but they arrive late and hold their own fireworks party instead.

Jun 4, 2021Kaiju Eugenicists mysteriously disappear after encountering a new kaiju, which then abducts Yume, Koyomi, Gauma, and Knight. While Goldburn defends Chise and Second, Yomogi enters the kaiju’s mouth to save them. Inside, he discovers the creature has imprisoned the group within their own memories. Yomogi enters Yume’s past, helping her confront Kano before his death, where she learns he was not suicidal. Koyomi revisits the moment Inamoto found a bag of money and chooses to flee with her. Gauma returns to 5,000 years ago to relive betraying the Kaiju Eugenicists, while Knight remembers serving as Akane Shinjo’s minion. Yomogi frees his friends, allowing them to escape and combine into Kaiser Gridknight to destroy the kaiju. With the world restored, Yume accepts Kano’s death as her friends celebrate.

Jun 11, 2021Following the battle, the Kaiju Eugenicists disband due to a lack of opponents. Gauma retrieves Dynazenon but remains sad about never reuniting with Princess. Koyomi seeks employment while Chise tries to return to school, only to learn from Knight and The Second that they are leaving for another world with Goldburn. Yume visits her sister's grave with Yomogi, who confesses his love during the trip. Sizumu attacks them, revealing that his human body is failing and will soon die. He uses the last Kaiju within him to transform. With Koyomi away and Gauma weakened, Knight pilots Goldburn and Dynazenon to form Kaiser Gridknight. He confronts Sizumu alone but is overpowered by the enemy.

Jun 18, 2021Sizumu absorbs other Kaiju Eugenicists to gain strength and defeats Kaiser Gridknight. Gauma and others arrive to assist, reforming the team to face the enemy. During the conflict, Yomogi utilizes his newly awakened Kaiju User ability to disrupt the Kaiju. The Dynazenon Crew forms Dynazenon, aided by Knight and Goldburn, to destroy the Kaiju and eliminate all Kaiju Eugenicists. Following the battle, Gauma expresses gratitude for their meeting before passing away, causing Dynazenon to deactivate. Three months later, Goldburn recovers from injuries and leaves for another world with Knight and Second, taking Dynazenon along. Koyomi secures employment through Inamoto's husband, while Chise remains absent from her school, which is still undergoing repairs from the previous battle. Yomogi and Yume, now a couple, attend the school festival together, hoping to preserve memories of their adventure. Meanwhile, Knight and Second bring Dynazenon to the digital world, where it revives and comes to life.
