Yamato agrees to care for a black kitten named Kuro, which he and Mei found abandoned. He invites Mei to his home to introduce Kuro to Mei’s white cat, Marshmallow. During the visit, Mei meets Yamato’s younger sister, Nagi. Although Nagi is skilled at cooking and crafting stuffed animals, she struggles with making friends and eventually skips school. Mei discovers that Nagi has lost Yamato #2, a pink stuffed bunny given to her by her brother. Mei returns the toy to Nagi, who initially reacts with hostility but later opens up upon realizing they share similar social difficulties. Mei reassures Nagi that she will find someone who shares her interests, and the two become friends. Yamato returns after a request from Kenji to find Kuro, Marshmallow, Mei, and Nagi sleeping together on the couch.
