Yamato and Mei spend time together, but a misunderstanding arises when an indecisive Mei rejects him. Depressed by rumors regarding Yamato and Megumi, especially after a magazine reveals Megumi’s feelings, Mei leaves work early. At her bakery job, she meets Kai Takemura, who asks about a key chain. Aiko advises Yamato to address the rumors affecting Mei. Realizing his error, Yamato misses a photo shoot and searches for Mei. He finds her crying in a desolate street over her broken bracelet. Mei confesses her feelings while Yamato apologizes. As he gathers the scattered beads, they embrace, overcoming their emotional turmoil.
