Lag and Niche reach Kyrie, a remote town bordering Yuusari. They meet Neri, who steals Lag’s bag to obtain a crossing pass for Yuusari. She reveals her motive: to send a letter to Letter Bee Jiggy Pepper, whom she blames for abandoning her and her brother Nero, who died while he was away. After Neri attacks Lag, the townspeople intervene and seize the pass. Niche defeats the crowd, but Neri recovers and flees toward the bridge to Yuusari. Lag and Niche pursue her. Meanwhile, a mysterious man named Largo Lloyd observes the pair with interest.
