While visiting the library, Ran hears a mysterious voice that guides her, Midori, and Rui to a local museum. There, they discover the sound originates from a small haniwa figure. Rui secures permission to take the artifact home, prompting the group to research the Yayoi period associated with its creation. The haniwa is revealed to be Wakatakeru, a man who left his village seeking a miko but failed to find one. The trio travels to the site of his former village and is suddenly transported back in time to when the town was under siege. Wakatakeru identifies Ran’s abilities as those of a miko, allowing her to intervene and stop the conflict. After resolving the crisis, Ran and her friends return to their own time.
