Ep. 2: Lum forces Ataru to spend time with her while Sakura performs an exorcism and Mendo arrives

In the first segment, Lum demands to spend time with Ataru at school, which angers Shinobu and makes his life miserable. While attempting to hide, Ataru encounters a shrine maiden named Sakura who insists on performing an exorcism on him. In the second segment, Ataru receives a yellow ribbon from a wandering monk named Cherry. This ribbon strips Lum of her powers when tied around her horns. Although the ribbon is effective, it causes its own set of strife and misery for the fastener. Later, a young man named Shuutaro Mendo parachutes into the city.
