Theresia and a renegade military faction seize AGS with Ulla’s secret help, launching a Bugmech to frame Saiki and the Blademen as terrorists. Saiki, Kariya, and others hide while receiving aid from an unexpected ally. Renegade soldiers launch a covert operation to kill the Blademen at a mob-owned restaurant. Gharib stays behind to help his colleagues escape, charging soldiers in fury before detonating two grenades. During the escape, Saiki, Rudra, Kariya, and Ageha are attacked. Rudra falls back to provide cover, sacrificing himself in a battle with military snipers after his Maneuver-Blade malfunctions.
