Jean feels remorse for his actions and considers apologizing, though Yadamon insists it is unnecessary. However, she subsequently develops a strange mark on her cheek. Jean eventually confesses the incident to his parents and offers an apology. Following a lecture from his father regarding the value of life, both Jean and Yadamon are sentenced to a week of early-morning yardwork. Unwilling to perform this punishment, Yadamon utilizes Taimon's time-travel abilities to travel back in time. Her goal is to prevent the egg from being broken in the first place, thereby avoiding the consequences entirely.
