Yami Bakura returns Yugi's items but keeps the Millennium Ring until all seven are collected, attempting to deceive Yugi who rejects his trust. He warns the Pharaoh that an Ultimate Shadow Game is required to restore his memories before kidnapping Mokuba and sending his soul to the Shadow Realm. This forces Kaiba to duel Bakura, who transforms the match into a Shadow Game using Egyptian-themed cards and Diabound Kernel to drain Blue-Eyes White Dragon's power. Bakura abandons the duel at sunrise, leaving Kaiba the Millennium Eye and a summons to Egypt. Meanwhile, Yugi attempts to board a flight to Cairo but is stopped by Tea, Joey, and Tristan, who insist on accompanying him.
