Yasuie operates a struggling detective agency in Shinjuku, Tokyo, with his assistant Yoshiyuki. The pair face financial difficulties and uncertain futures. Over seven years, Yoshiyuki has endured both hardship and Yasuie's flirtatious behavior, which borders on inappropriate. However, a family demand forces Yoshiyuki to decide between continuing with Yasuie or pursuing a conventional life. Yasuie attempts to persuade him to stay, possibly by revealing why he brought Yoshiyuki into the detective work. Whether this explanation is enough to influence Yoshiyuki's choice remains uncertain.
