Multiple narratives connect and are intended to be read in order. A high school student and tattoo artist named Tohru harbors hidden feelings for a friend and rejects a confession from a junior named Katsumi, who remains persistent. Two former students, now teachers, Kikawa and Meguro, once had a childhood connection that ended long ago, yet Kikawa continues to think about Meguro. Another student, Katahana, is curious about why his close friend Tohmune always wears an undershirt, wondering what he might be concealing. After meeting Katsumi, Tohru becomes distracted and struggles to focus on his work, and the complex connections between tattoo artists and their clients create tension in their interactions.
