Kowamote Kishi wa Shinpaisei

A war hero named Kyle suffers from severe injuries sustained during a mission and now spends his time drinking heavily. Heine, a tavern worker who secretly admires him, attempts to wake him up by dousing him with water. Expecting Kyle to be angry and leave, she is surprised when he begins helping her at the tavern whenever he can. Their growing closeness makes Heine fall deeper in love with Kyle, though she refrains from confessing due to concerns about her striking appearance, which often leads others to mistake her for a prostitute. Heine soon becomes involved in an unexpected event.
