Some children are born with physical traits associated with mythical creatures, such as elvish ears, dwarven musculature, or oni horns. These individuals, however, do not possess the abilities typically linked to their appearances. Kazamori, who looks like an elf, is expected to use magic but is unable to do so. She has kept this secret for some time, but when a human with science-based magical abilities discovers her inability, Kazamori must find a way to deal with the consequences.
