Three years ago, an experiment at Area 51 caused dungeons to appear on Earth. People of all backgrounds now explore these dangerous labyrinths for treasure, power, and magic. Keigo Yoshimura, an office worker with no interest in adventure, dreams of leaving his job for a simple life. During a business trip, he discovers a new dungeon and unintentionally acquires a magical ability that transforms dungeon exploration into an RPG-like experience. As events escalate, Keigo becomes the world's leading explorer. Partnering with Azusa Miyoshi, a mathematically skilled coworker and fellow dungeon diver, he attempts to profit from the status displays he encounters. However, his newfound success draws attention from the military, government, and other dangerous entities. His dream of a quiet life now seems increasingly out of reach.
